| 6 | large carrots, sliced crosswise into 1/2- inch coins | ||

| 4 | large apples, cored and sliced | ||

| 5 | Tablespoons | flour | |
|

									|||
| 1 | Tablespoon | brown sugar | |
| 
											 | 
									|||
| 1/2 | teaspoon | nutmeg | |
| 
											 | 
									|||
| 1 | Tablespoon | butter | |
| 
											 | 
									|||
| 1/2 | cup | orange juice | |
| 
											 | 
									|||
| 1/2 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 
											 | 
									|||
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
Cook carrots in large saucepan in boiling water 5 minutes; drain.  Layer carrots and apples in large casserole.  
Combine flour, sugar and nutmeg; sprinkle over top of carrots and apples.  Dot with butter; pour orange juice over flour mixture. 
Bake for 30 minutes or until carrots are tender.
